Cards with active displays represent a new generation of credit-card sized authentication solutions. Coming in a flexible card form factor, the RPT4005 One-time Passcode Card is convenient to carry and surprisingly easy to use. For each online transaction or remote access request, the user presses the card button to generate a unique one-time passcode (OTP), which is shown on the integrated numeric display. There is no need for software installations or changes to the infrastructure. In combination with a traditional username/password-scheme, the dynamic one-time passcode facilitates strong authentication and bi-directional identification procedures. This technology provides a powerful means of combatting fraud resulting from stolen passwords. The RPT4005 runs the Open Authentication (OATH) algorithm by default.

The rear-side elements of RPT4005
The elements on the rear-side of the card include: The serial number of the card, a spare area over the button and a marking in the upper right corner of the card.
RPT4005 Live (a little demo)
By clicking on the button on the card (above), you can simulate a real-world behavoiur of the card: By pressing the button, a new one-time passcode appears. It will remain in the display for 30 seconds - unless the button is pressed again, which erases the display. The next button press generates a new one-time passcode.
NOTE: The card will not show the " -4005- " sequence in real life. That is a feature of this simulation only.
